Mmmm. I prefer specific writers rather than specific genres. I enjoy Stephen King and Marion Keyes, and my ultimate favorite is Andre P. Brink. :)
Fantasy, adventure, horror, mystery, and occasionally romance...stories that take me away to another world, time and place...stories that broaden my mind, leave a good feeling, make me cry and laugh and feel excitement for the characters...stories with characters that are alive... stories with no political propaganda and hidden agendas.
