I try to meditate before bed every night and I always just fall asleep just before the 10 min bell goes off to signal the end of the meditation. It jolts me awake and I end up feeling a bit stressed out by the sensation. Any tips to help stay in the moment rather than falling asleep?

– Sit on a cushion – don't lie down or sit in a chair
– Ensure the room is cool
– Have light in the room
Remember – it's not about prepping you to sleep ; it's about processing what's happened throughout the day and laying your mind to rest. I always spend first 5 mins to let my thoughts of the day run free and then focus my mind on the meditation. Find what works for you.
