I haven’t had oatmeal yet that I’ve liked, my goal for the new year is to try as many oatmeal recipes as possible until I find a version that I like. Any suggestions?

I like to do overnight oats with either soy or almond milk. I put a half cup of oats on a Mason jar, some chopped strawberries or blueberries and a dash of maple syrup, then pour in enough milk to cover everything, stick it in the fridge overnight, and my breakfast is ready for me the next morning.

You can boil it with milk adding a little sugar. Eat it hot and mix with sliced bananas or even French or Spanish bread. It's a very good breakfast.

I definitely reccomend buying your own oats and making it your own way (with yogurt or milk or water) and adding your own ingredients like fruits or spices.

If you like sweets, then probably try something with chia, your favorite fruits, any nut butter you like, and milk. If you prefer something salty, you could make something with herbs and vegetables and nuts and seeds.

I like to buy the steel cut oats, cook them according to the directions on the package. I put raisins or craisins on top with brown sugar and a little bit of milk.

Overnight oats (can be heated the next day in microwave if u don't like cold) ½ cup oats ½ cup milk, leave overnight and add any toppings you like! Strawberry and Nutella is amazing, as it is filling and a balance of nutrition, from carbs, to fat (which isn't bad), to sugars and if u care about calories isn't too much for breakfast!

Honestly, I find oatmeal to be the best possible breakfast. Yes, it's fast and nutritious, that's given. However, the crucial part is oatmeal being such a diverse form. You can add literally anything, from fruits like kiwis and bananas, through hazelnuts and almonds, to cocoa or soy milk. Everyday it feels like a different meal, although basically it stays the same. 10/10 would recommend.

Yeah, I do oats with soy milk. First I found a soy milk that tasted good to me (not all do). I put 3 big table spoons of oats in a bowl, cover it with seeds and nuts (sunflower seeds pumpkin seed and a nut mix with almonds, walnuts and others). I pour in soy milk to just cover the nuts and pop in microwave for 99 seconds. I put some more chilled soy milk to cool things down and eat immediately. Sometimes I add dried fruit like sultanas or blueberries or have it with fresh fruit like a banana. Hope this helps 🙂

Don't force yourself to eat a food you don't like! Oatmeal isn't the only nutritious option for a healthy breakfast. This will only make you fed up with having breakfast every morning! Have what you like, if possible.

Well, I like a very simple recipe:
1 cup of oatmeal.
A slice of butter.
1.5 cup of milk.
1 spoon full of sugar.

Just put the oatmeal and the butter on a stove (small flame), until the butter starts to melt. Then add the milk and the sugar and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes.

After it's done you can add cold milk to cool it off and make it less dense.

I use organic rolled oats with Stevia, cinnamon, and when I am in the mood ginger. Depending on your eating plan I love adding fruit to my oatmeal such as bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, & grapes. Enjoy!

I dont like oatmeal either so I opt for another hi fibre cereal such as weetabix or malted wheat – it's not exactly the same but why try to force something you dont like down your throat when there are alternatives

Oatmeal can be great! If you don’t like the texture of old fashioned oats, maybe try steel cut oats instead. They are heartier and have more texture and less mush. My favorite “flavor” is carrot cake oatmeal! Add shredded carrots, pineapple, coconut milk and maple syrup with a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon. You can also make several batches and portion it into containers for the week. That way, your morning is a little easier with most of the work being done already. You don’t even have to reheat it! Cold oatmeal is just as good (though I usually reheat in these cold winter mornings!!) Good luck!!

Hi, you can try porridge in the morning or as a snack. It is very delightful with fresh fruits and nuts. I also prepare day before and keep in the fridge so your breakfast ready for morning or grab and go meal. If porridge not a cup of tea for you, then must check granola recipes. There are lots of choices. After couple of trying I am quite sure you will have perfect version for you. Good luck and keep try 🙂

I just make porridge/oatmeal as normal and then add to it, sometimes a teaspoon of nutella, sometimes peanut butter or nut butter even just chocolate drops or golden syrup or cinnamon. One of the girls in work actually said she sometimes adds some chilli powder, I think I'll try that soon but maybe with chocolate drop, choc and chilli go great together but dark chocolate is better for that.

Have you tried overnight oats? 80gr oats, 1 tspoon almond butter, half banana, 1 tspoon cocoa powder (raw), 1 tspoon chia seeds, top up with your milk of choice (I put almond milk) until it fully covers the oats and stir well. Put in the fridge and eat the next morning. You may want to adjust the above quantities to your liking. Good luck! 😊

I absolutely love oatmeal. Its my favorite breakfast choice. You should mix it with cinnamon and sugar or top it with fresh fruit like fresh strawberries, blueberries or even nuts like almonds or peacans. My favorite topping is baked apples with cinnamon and sugar.
