I recommend eating breakfast after you have gotten out of bed and woken up properly. Depending on how much time you have, you could take it slow and enjoy the morning, but if you are in a rush you could probably eat breakfast after getting up.
I think around 30-45 minutes is a good time to eat after you wake up. You then have time to process being awake and your surroundings as well as brush your teeth, wash face, drink some water, etc.. I also would like to start stretching and maybe doing a small 10-20 min workout before beginning breakfast. So after all of that I am usually ready for food!
