How does journaling help you mentally and emotionally?

I use journaling to itch my creative side. Sometimes I imagine what my future will be like, sometimes I invent a new story, sometimes I draw, and right now I'm trying to write a poem 🙂 I don't think I'm any good at these things, but it makes me happy to express myself in a realm that's just for me. The only person my journal has to be good enough for is me. I think that's one of the beauties of journaling. It's a space where I can exist just with myself. It makes me feel happy and fulfilled 🙂

This app genuenly helps motivate me to get things done and to help myself. Normally other apps like this don't have the same agressive motivation as this one does, which js perfect for me! I have trouble remembering and getting things done, and this definetly helps a lot! The community here is very nice and even though I don't go there much, I find it comforting knowing I'm not alone while trying to help myself.

Journaling allows me to empty my mind of thought patterns and emotions that have continuously cycled on repeat in my head. This allows me to release the emotions I’ve been feeling by putting thoughts to words on paper. Journaling helps me to organize my thoughts in a way that promotes inner peace and focuses my mind.
