Do you find that meditation sometimes makes you sad?

No. Im new to the discipline of daily meditation. I have done it occasionally for decades. Meditating has never made me sad, only still. But as I am anxious and depressed, thoughts with those feelings often come up to distract me from my task. Once I realise Im sidetracked, I gently redirect myself back to focus on my breathe. Sometimes I make a mental note to revisit those thoughts again later, to process.
