I like it in a rough paper so I can recycle when it is done. However, I also realise it is time consuming if the list is repeated.

In a small 60 page paper journal (Amazon ASIN number B07GGG6XBX) I use a different journal to track progress in each of the journey and to record my over impression of the app itself.
