A great series is the Tiger’s Curse series by Colleen Houck. It’s romantic, adventurous, mysterious, and a thrill to read. I was hooked on the series and it’s my favorite series to this day.

I'm a big fan of escapes so I suggest story books. Maybe not the same ones that children read but it's a similar idea. Pick up a book that allows you to be someone else or somewhere else. I found that my personal favorites are the stories that grip me either with imagery or with deep conflicts/changes/dilemmas. Putting on someone's shoes and getting picked up in a whirlwind of their trials and tribulations never fails to give me perspective on my own reality, and hopefully yours as well.
