I have a HUGE pile of papers on my desk? How doI get rid of it before the end of the year?

Lillie E.
Do it slowly, but efficiently. Give yourself a goal, maybe 5 papers a day, and take care of it slowly: eventually the pile will begin to grow smaller and smaller and if you’re efficient enough you should be done when u need to be
Tommy S.
Set a time on when you can work on the papers, and try to finish them and watch videos to help keep you motivated to finish them
Sophie E.
Organize the papers first into a pile that’s important, not so important, & don’t need. Then throw away the papers you don’t need a put the important papers in a place you can find and put the non so important papers separate but where you can find it .
Lauren Z.
Set small goals, and have a reward at the end. For example, say, "Today I will clean 15 papers off of my desk, and I will spoil myself with some coffee when I'm done." This will keep you not stressed out and motivated.
Emily G.
Bit by bit. Either by designating an amout of time/documents you have to go through. As the year progresses it will seem more manageable, until you decide to finish all of it.
Alfredo W.
Sort them into piles: throw away, keep, do/fill out later. Deal with them accordingly and try to find buckets or spare space in your desk to store them in when you’re not using them. Hope this helps!
Rachel Y.
I would start by taking 5 minutes a day and file/shred a few at a time. Over the coarse of the week try to add a few minutes each day/week. Stay committed everyday to doing that task. If you miss a day don't stress just start over!
James W.
You gotta write something on the papers till the end of the year until someone tries to take it from you to write about for them.
Ana Y.
Check, read, give it a place or throw it away. Do it with 3-5 papers a day, I promise that by the time you find out, the stack will only have a couple of sheets.
Eberardo Q.
If you could complete one paper at a time, or maybe two whenever you feel like it. I think you can make it, make a program and most importantly dont stress about it. Go slow, look at it like its no biggie bc people tend to procastinate when they have to do smt big or important for them.
Chad Z.
Just try to focus on one paper at a time and just don't think about how much work you have. Listening to some music also helps me finish my tasks. I usually listen to jazz or lofi hip hop, but that is just my thing. You can also try using apps like "Forest" and put the deep focus option on, so you don't get distracted by your phone.
Kavya L.
So what you can do is just check whether those. papers are useful or not if yes, place it in your cupboard and if not, solding. Those ones is better.
Гульназ Баятова N.
First try sort it all, categories, due dates, topics, anything that is comfortable for you. And then prioritize each one. Also I recommend to do the ones that seem the hardest to do. If u get it done with them u will finish the easy ones in no time. Good luck🌸
Silas G.
You need to look only for the most important papers you need I was like you but I am now organized and you must be more organized
Frankie O.
Ok just one is not soo difficult as u think. You just divided into parts and then you just sort out difficult one with fully effort and little difficult one then easy one and you surprised how you had you done it.. and enjoy your new year yahoooooo…
Dea I.
I'd separate each of them according to their topic and set a day (or 2 or 3) for each topic title if I proceed in a planned way , I will have finished it long before the end of year .
Giselle O.
Depends on what the papers are for. Take some time for your self and make sure you know what all the papers are for, make sure to Organise them so you know where they are and when you need them.
Gurbani O.
My advice is to keep calm and take it easy. Stressing out is not going to help trust me. Do it one step at a time and don’t rush take your time and be productive about it. Don’t leave things last minute and keep your goal in your mind and reach towards it.
Surya C.
First make the priorities. Separate your work into most important and least important category. Then further make classifications into urgent and not urgent category. Finish your most important and urgent papers first. Then step into least important but urgent. After that concentrate on most important and not urgent category. Finally work on least important and not urgent category. By this way you can complete your work without any complexity.
Melodi L.
I would first start by sorting the papers in group’s. One group of papers you want to keep and one group you want to toss. Than sort the keep group however you want. When you have your piles of paper, put than in a safe place like a drawer instead of on top of your desk!
Matthew E.
start slowly, build up and yeah hahha maybe listen to some productivity subliminals or some music you like and drink water
Tilde Z.
I would work through them 1 by 1 and if you start feeling stressed take 1 day dont do any of the papers and take a nice self care day!
Vi N.
I guess organization is key. If you think that you are never going to look at a sheet of paper again, throw it away. Otherwise keep everything else in a nice organized pile.
Nightmare G.
Hi Fabulous user! If I were you I would calm down, remember that it IS July and in the middle of the year and I have plenty of time! Then I would take small stacks of paper every 3 days a week and go through them, and organising all of them. 3 days because you need to give yourself relief. If you are determined, do it more! Also make sure that I it is junk mail or papers you don't need, remember it's ok to throw those ones away. Have fun! And remember to relax in between.
Zack B.
I would work through them 1 by 1 and if you start feeling stressed take 1 day dont do any of the papers and take a nice self care day!
I hope this will help ☺️❤️.
Roland J.
You count up the papers.tuen divide them equally between the days left in the year . You do that amount each day . sometimes do more if you feel like it and you should be done by the end of the year
Sofie X.
I will start for the shorter or easier tak and when I will have the power than I will do the harder or longer. Second option is switching them. Once the easy tak, once hard.
Milton A.
Organise them, choose the best way for you to divide them, it could be for importance or how much is interesting to you, than just make sure to do some of every small pile making sure of take everytime from a different one. That helped me with my papers
Kati Q.
Working resourcefully, giving yourself breaks and time to relax and also giving yourself a time of focus with no distractions
Mathew F.
Choose a tidy up routine. 10 minute timed.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Designate one place for incoming papers. Make a shadow box even if it's out of duct tape. Write "IN" on it.

The best piece of paper is the one that never makes it to the INBOX.

Work on one pile at a time. Finish the pile you start before moving on the next one. Stick to the ten minutes. And do it every single night for a 30 day habit.

Advanced cleaning would have a chart with a track of days. Count the piles and estimate weeks to complete and plot it.

Measure your progress. Am I getting healthier?

Elizabeth J.
make a reasonable goal for how much you can take care of each day or each week, and don't be hard on yourself if the goal then needs adjusting! just stick with it, and a little bit of work can only help!
Alice E.
Honestly, take your time with it. Do most stress yourself out to make sure that you get everything done before the end of the year! Us humans go through this very exact situation if not similar, and yet we stress ourselves out because of this very situation . So taking your time with it allows you to not stress so much about the things that you have to do. But also make sure that you get into the action of the papers, try to make a schedule where it will fit for your time and that will not stress you out even more. Taking your time but also getting in there to finish it will ultimately help you in the situation!
D Ni P.
Break down the pile of papers into segments, maybe categorize it. You could start with the easiest to tackle – ones you're going to find more difficult or most important – less urgent.
Weird G.
scheduling is the best method in my veiw.
First you need to choose a specific day of the week and set a specific time and duration of it for brief reading your papers to know the subject of each paper (for example: choose next monday at 2:30pm for 2 hours).
This will help you to devide your papers depending on their titles or topics… (for example: section 1 = file papers, section 2 = planning papers, section 3 = task papers, sub sections in section 3 = task1 + task2 + task3 and so on, section 4 = achived tasks, section 5 = references or directions… and so on).
in that day you chose, just go ahead and start doing this task till you reach to the end of the duration you set! then enjoy the rest of the day …
But if you still couldn't finish dividing and organizing the rest of papers, and you feel worried that still too many papers left and the deadline is close, then choose another time and duration of the next day and so on! …. i think, maybe you will need only one week for this task.. then you start scheduling to work on tasks if those papers include some task or commitment for you to do .. you will be able to achieve them faster because you already organized them! .. you will be more focused and excited to finish them..
Also, you can overlap dividing and scheduling and applying.. (for example: dividing papers will go on monday at 3:30pm for 2hrs, then read task1 papers in detail then work on task1 will go on the same day Monday at 6:00pm for 1 hr and 30 minutes. after that, go to schedule time for dividing and applying for the next day or after 2 days.. and so on…)
After you succeed in getting a ride from these pile of papers in your desk, keep remembering how you suffered to achieve it, this will help you to never neglect filing your ppers oneby one once you receive them..
This method that i explained for you is also useful for your future …
Keith R.
To insert it yet you need to get rid of all these old papers on your desk and yesterday I did that and I felt good when I can see my desk being more tiny and organized and it also give me more inspiration and motivation to study yes I feel good
Amalie W.
Organize the papers first into three piles based on the categories 'past', 'present', and 'future'. Place the 'past' papers in a filing cabinet until you have the time to better organize them, place the 'future' papers in a pile that descends from most to least urgent off to the side, and then work on the 'present' papers based on urgency as well, placing them into the other piles as necessary. From there, I recommend a filing cabinet of some sort and making some labels!
Julio S.
Decluttering is the best way to clear your mind.if you don't want to do it I suggest that you set a task and a goal
For example 'if I clean my papers up I will treat myself to a day out'.and some advice for cleaning make 2 piles
1.important things I need to keep
2.throw it away
Nolan C.
First : sort them out and put them in specific bins

Second : work on the most important ones first

Third : understand how you ended up with a pile of papers and fix that.

Hope this was helpful

David Q.
You should try drinking some coffee or doing exeresise before the work so you would have energy, watch some study with me or getting my work done videos so you will get motivated,if you get tired relax for 5 mins and get more work done, and when youre done as an achivement go buy your favourite snack hope this helps <3
Mathias W.
look through them and see what’s important and not important if it’s not important throw it out if it is put it in a folder
Eden S.
You mean documents? Or just random pieces if paper? In the second case, decide which one do you need and which one you don't.
Hertha J.
Well, when you wake up you should get ready, drink water, have breakfast. You should work on your papers and have breaks between them.
Fabien Z.
The 1st thing is to always breaking the tasks in to small loads. Start with the most important and agently needing to be submitted. As you work through the papers take a walk or a breather to take your mind of them for a bit clear your mind. Have daily goals and always try to bead your daily best. Always remember to celebrate the small wins.
Gerard X.
1. Gather supplies: folders, a desktop organizer, and a trash can.

2. Seperate the papers by category.

3. Go through each category and decide whether each paper is absolutely necessary, might be nice to keep, or not worth having around anymore. Make 3 piles.

4. Place the papers you want to keep in folders based on category, with the absolutely necessary ones first. Place the folders in the organizer.

5. Throw away the useless papers.

Shay O.
Go through all the paperwork and shred everything that you don't need anymore. Toss out what you can throw away. Also, have a bin that you put papers in to shred and get it done as soon as possible.
Dannah L.
Just focus on what you have to do. Don't let anything distruct you .You might be struggling now but put in mind that if you'll just continue on doing what has to be done you,ll finish it and relax after the struggle
Claude E.
I’m also a clutter bug! I would choose a day (maybe a weekend if your desk is at home) where decluttering is the main goal. Go through all the papers and sort what can be discarded, what needs to be filed/kept, and what needs to be addressed ASAP. File/recycle any paper that’s cluttering the desk and address the rest. A filing system will allow you to have a place for required documents to go. Then, perhaps you could incorporate a “paper box” for new incoming docs. Try to have a day each week that you go through and organize. Best of luck, friend!
Bahar L.
Well, if we are talking about school or work stuff; organise them and put them somewhere you can see but not get anxiety by.
Andre C.
First of all do not worry about it. Relax so tou can think clearly. After that, you need to focus and make a schedule. For example, you can spend at least 3 hours a day to do your paper work. You'll see in one week a huge difference! Keep up!
Di Paolo N.
I’d say there are two ways to go about this. 1, being you get yourself hyped up and get motivated to work in a few bursts and get it done in a short time. 2, you could got through and section out him much there is and go through little by little leaving the workload small. It’s up to you which way you do it but just make sure you don’t burn yourself out and give up
Sara C.
First classify the papers and make groups according to topics and how much effort will it take to answer. Make a long term plan to slowly finish it by the end of year. Don't overload yourself.
Maya P.
Here’s a few options: 1. Spend a couple of days sorting them and getting rid of old ones but do it all at once. Clean and dust and just get the whole place looking really clean. It will make you feel better and will make your brain feel clean and ready to be better. 2. Take it gradually. Every time it bugs you, pick up a stack and sort but don’t do it all at once. This is good if you don’t have a lot of extra time on your hands. Make sure to sort them in terms of year and by subject or importance. This way it is easier to find later.
Karla C.
If split it into different groups from easiest to hardest and as I work through the easiest I'll start getting the hang of it and will learn how to do the hard making the hard turn to easy
Ravencake N.
See which papers are actually work and what’s junk from there start with the less time consuming paperwork and finish with the longer ones
