I feel my thoughts run faster than I can write them down. Sometimes I feel I can’t write down everything I’m feeling at the moment as the speed at which I write doesn’t match the speed of my thoughts. How should I journal effectively?

I’ve had this problem too! You don’t need to write down everything you’re feeling in the moment. Write what you can. Sometimes I’ll be journalling about my day, and how I felt about it, but there’s just so much— I feel like my brain (and maybe yours) will save thoughts that need closure, for you to reflect on the next day. If the thought or feeling was a really buzzy one that you need to get out, journaling makes sure your brain does it. TLDR: do what you can. What you can is often what you need 🙂
