Drink tea for me is not so much a reduction of caffeine from coffee but a moment of mindfulness to slow down and enjoy something on the morning. Does anyone else use it this way instead?

For me, drinking tea isn’t really about cutting down on caffeine or replacing coffee at all. It’s more like a small ritual I look forward to in the morning. Making tea forces me to slow down just a little—boiling the water, choosing the cup, waiting for it to steep. That pause matters to me.
When I drink tea, I’m not rushing or multitasking the way I usually do with coffee. I actually sit with it, feel the warmth, notice the smell, and take a few quiet sips before the day fully starts. It feels grounding, almost like a gentle way of telling myself that the day doesn’t need to be chaotic right from the beginning.
So for me, tea is less about what it gives me chemically and more about what it gives me mentally. It’s a moment of mindfulness, a calm transition into the morning, and a reminder to be present before everything else begins. I’m curious if anyone else uses tea in the same way—as a pause, not a substitute.

Well, I use it at evening or at the afternoon, to create a relax moment for me. I personally never tried it in the morning, it’s just not for me.
