Hi!!! ✨ 🙂 hopefully my advice can help. I love to read as well but sometimes life gets busy and that’s okay. I’ve also been in a position where I was balancing studies, work, hobbies, and my personal life all at once. I recommend two things, both involving habit stacking. One: audio books. This is great for certain books that you don’t mind listening to. On your commute to work or school, whether you’re walking or driving, you could listen to an audio book. I have friends who even listen to audio books whilst they clean/do dishes or even during exercise like a run outside. Two: try to sneak in five minutes of reading in your downtime. The beauty of reading is that you get to do it at your pace, it does not matter if you only read one page a day or one page a week. Remember, it should be fun. 😇 For example, If you’re studying for 25 minutes in a flow state and want to take a five minute break, one of those five minute breaks that you take could be used to read one to five pages of your favorite book. I also like to bring my book in my bag so it’s always with me during downtime. Instead of scrolling on my phone while waiting for a friend to arrive at lunch or my commute on public transportation or even in the waiting room at a doctors appointment, I can use that short time to get at least one page in. I hope that helps, but if you’re still feeling stuck in a situation where you can’t find the time to read. You could always try carving out space on a digital calendar or physical calendar for a 5 minute reading block. That way it feels like it’s already a task that is part of your normal day to day schedule, making you less likely to skip it. This is perfect for people who are already used to putting time blocks on their calendar and setting reminders on their phone or for people who have stricter schedules during the week. Good luck and happy reading!!! 📚✨
