It’s common to struggle with picking up a book, but creating a ritual can help. Try setting a specific time each day dedicated to reading, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Place your book in a visible spot to remind you. You can also stack this habit with another routine, like enjoying a cup of tea while you read. By making reading a consistent part of your daily rituals, you’ll find it easier to engage with your book and develop a lasting habit. Remember, small steps lead to big changes!

Honestly, this has happened to me for a few years and I used to love reading. I tried everything but, the thing that’s actually worked: I’ve got a mate who has similar tastes in books to me and she reads a idly. The more I’d talk to her about books by our favourite authors, that I’d not yet read, the more motivated I became 👍I’d also push through if I wasn’t enjoying a book to ensure completion and I read somewhere that, life’s too short to continue reading a book you’re not enjoying. Put it down and pick up another 👍 also start small, don’t try to get stuck into a tomb of a book look at thinner, light hearted books at first, to re-establish the habit 👍 but the biggest help for me was, having a mate who loves reading and feeling like I was missing out whenever I’d discuss our favourite authors. So maybe join a book club or explore books with close friends for the first time ❤️
