How do you get organized and stay organized?

Sea X.
You set a goal for yourself, make sure your not busy that day and you clean. Music makes it easier to clean, and your allowed breaks but try not to because your less likely to finish that way. Then after you set smaller goals daily to organize a little. It helps to stay organized daily than to let things build up!

Im not actually THAT organized tbh BUT im trying my best:)!! I think im just thinking about how good feeling it will be if I stay like that + im thinking about my future!!<3 Thanks for asking :)!!

I try to make a list of things I want to do in the follow days and of course I try to stand by my list. If any ideas pop up later I immediately add them and just during the day try do to everything. I do not work ahead. For example, if I wrote something to do tomorrow and I have spare time today, I still leave it for tomorrow so I can rest and reflect.

Good morning, one way that I like to stay nice and organized is by having ten mins a day just to tidy up. I feel that if I have that time I will not want to do a lot of cleaning so when I do something I will clean it up then.

By choosing the places of where to put my material very mindfully (it is handy and helps with the flow of actions), and by creating a habit of decluttering eveytime after use (all the tables ei), and by cleaning little things that don't ask anymore attention afterwards (cleaning the lavabo and bath/shower every time after use, and having an anticalc system). I also keep track of all the tasks to do in my journals, plus I have notifications for the things that I could otherwise probably forget (ei baking bread, washing bed linen, cleaning the filters in the kitchen or of our filtering system or the swimming pool,……). When something has to go ei to the cave, we first place it on the stairs so we don't need to go to much. Our cave contains also the garages and cleaning rooms and a lot of the storage, so it is used and therefore somehow more attracting to go to. The kitchen is organized very well (better seems impossible). The food storage is also in the (larger) kitchen, and the main cleaning materials too. We made place for all our hobbies ei piano, harpsichord/creative/yoga/… room and a privacy terrace where I can do yoga in the morning and reading a book or writing in my journals. Everything can stay where it is, we don't have to put the yoga mat or so away. ………..

I find it to be organized at the start of something a lot easier but as I get further along I find it actually really hard keep things organized

You should make motivation a habit. In this way you are going to stay motivated all the time .Water also keep you focused

Generally speaking anything I have to do regularly I set up for the next time and writing it in an organizer so when I go through it each day I know what needs to be done next and schedule each task by day of the week. I think a daily organizer is key. Also if you grab a cheap dollar store grease board with erasable markers for your fridge you can write your daily tasks the night before and check it off as you go first in your organizer where you can add daily and if you work/have errands check things off daily til you get home and once you’re done and your list is checked, erase it and set it up til the next day. Rinse n Tepat is what I call it so 1. Organizer 2. Grease board. I hope this helps.

I organize by doing things in parts….like if I clean my room I will do one side of my room and then go to the next side then my bed it is least pressure on me.And I stay organized by checking on the thing that I organized.
Eldina O.
I get organized by writing down my goals for the day, night before, so as I finish one and another I cross them, so I can keep track. If I skip one day, or one thing to do, I feel like I'm betraying myself, so as far I'm writing down everything I can stay organized.
Alex J.
I made plannings for all my things I want to do. For the hour, the day and the week.
It helps me to have enough time for everything
Kasper P.
Because cleaning should be a thing u want to do not a thing u force urself to do most people don't do it because the time it takes but when your actually cleaning up it's shorter than 7m

Every day before I go to bed I clean my room and organize everything. The next step I do is to prepare things for tomorrow to school/work.

when i use something i try to put it away afterwards and i don’t let myself sleep unless everything is tidy and organised

I try to organize my workspace before I begin my day when I am working from home.
I organize my kitchen after cleaning some of the utensils. I arrange the groceries in the proper place in the kitchen cupboard.
I arrange the living room by keeping the toys and stuff at their respective places after my kid has gone to sleep.
I clean the bed before going to sleep.

I get organized and stay organized doing what I like when I like it. I enjoy almost everything I do and when I don't find my task interesting I make compromises with myself

GIVE EVERYTHING A HOME
When spaces feel cluttered and disorganized, it’s because things are set down and stored without any thought. The jacket draped over the couch, the stack of mail on the counter, the new purchase waiting to be “put away”. This randomness leads to chaos – both physically and mentally. To get organized, you need to define a place in your home where everything goes.

I will first think what I should organize or what are the things that needs to be organized. For example I wanna organize myself. I will think what should I organize about myself?
Laura N.
I always put things back in place, and clean my room every day. When I clean, I go in a certain order : first the trashes, then clean the mirror and the windows , organize my clothes and stuff, and finally clean the floor.

I don't. But tidying up the little, "manageable" bits in the evening really helps. It takes me 5 minutes and it lets me sleep in peace. Plus, I get to wake up in a clean room. This motivates me enough to spend those 5 minutes every evening. Of course, a bigger cleaning session still takes place about once a week. This usually takes me 20 minutes, as it's more detailed. In my 5 minute evening session I focus on keeping obvious things clean and I follow 3 steps: 1) the floor. Nothing is allowed on the floor. Laundry is either put in the laundry bin or back in the closet. Anything else is picked up and either put away immediately, or at least put on a table where I can take care of it in the morning (e.g. important documents are gathered and put on my desk so I can put them in their respective folders in the morning.) Then 2) is surfaces. I have one special surface, my desk, where I'm allowed to have stuff that doesn't belong there and that I will take care of later. But my shelves, nightstands and anything else in my room must be free from clutter. And 3) is anything else that bothers me. Maybe there's some toothpaste in my sink or my jacket is on a chair instead of a hanger, so these are miscellaneous things I gotta take care of. It's a short task but it makes all the difference. The 20 minute cleaning session then includes vacuuming & mopping, cleaning the sink + shower, doing my laundry, emptying the trash cans, etc.

Well I stay organized by keeping my stuff in folders or in a bin with labels and when I do that if I need something I can easily find it and it will be done like that your welcome.

By sticking to habits that take just a little time each, but put together into daily routines, create pattern and order to my life

I only get organized during short manic episodes when I’m like working or need a stimulant. Other than that I tend to get disorganized over time until I can’t stand it anymore.

I try to make lists to have an overview of what I need to do. I am also currently working on reducing my procrastination, things get chaotic when you keep putting taks off. I am not very good at it yet so I am also careful to give myself a break every now and then so I don't feel overwhelmed and give up. But it's getting better and now that I am also organizing my home I hope it will reflect my future structured life!
Daisy N.
I’m not an overly organised person, but when I’m trying to get things done I usually make a list (so I don’t forget) and put them in order of most important at the top and least at the bottom. I start with the top ones so I don’t have to worry about doing them for the rest of the day.
Alexandra G.
I typically use a planner and declutter often in order to stay organized but sometimes i need to take a day off and check in with myself to prioritise and set goals
Christin O.
I once heard a great advice about organising that really helps me. When you clean up, let your hands grab the first thing, and you cannot let go of that thing until you get it to its place.
I use that advice when I clean a cluttered table or a messy room, and also all the time.
I try putting everything back right after I'm done with it, even if I have to get up of the couch. I know that it would save me a lot of cleaning in the future.
Hope it would help you too!

I like to have things that help me stay organized. I do much better with visuals, so nothing in my phone will ever keep me organized. But shelves are labeled. Different baskets for different laundry. White boards and post it's for reminders.
Brenve N.
I put tags on things like boxes, closets, drawers, bins, so I know which thing goes where.

For example:
– I have a bag with the tag "toiletry" and another for "skin care", so I can stay organized and have more space available.

– I have a bag with the tag "socks", another "underwear", and another "laundry".

If you're a visual artist: organizing things by color or by boxes helps you A LOT.
Same goes for musicians.

Hope this helps

Set a time day just to have a small clear up and once a every week have a big tidy, and just try to stay motivated and calm
Valerie J.
It’s okay to get unorganised sometimes, I do especially when I’m stressed. But you just need to remember that it’s better for your mindset, so either, alphabetically order things or colour order. Order them in a way it’ll be easier for you to grab and go, then put back with no struggles
Shayene P.
Simply I dont, that is one of the reasons i got this app to help my self management a way to mantain myself organized, as most of the time im all over the place, i always try my best to look at my suurounding to keep them in order so i can easily be organized but by the end of the week i normally go back to my usual self
Julia F.
Firstly I creat a to do list and mark the 3 most important ones which have to get done today.
When I'm getting ready for a test i have to first clean my room and desk sit somewhere where it's comfortable and I use an app Study Bunny it's a timer you can set for example if I want to learn for and. Hour I just set it and then I usually don't get out if focus. For my to wake up early and stay organised and don't miss my morning routine i have to go sleep early which can be hard for me. 😅 In my morning routine i have to make my bed, dress, eat breakfast, clean my desk or anything else and pray, currently I'm on online school which means it's easier for me to do all of those things. Next week I'm going back to school and I don't know how it'll be 🤗
Alma Z.
It is that before I go to sleep I arrange for tomorrow and put in my mind the simplest things like going to the bathroom and others and arrange when I wake up and then put some time for unexpected things and set aside time to walk at night where the view is beautiful and then give time to happiness and after that time to sleep and relax
Wade G.
Create a random to-do list on my phone, and then order it from most urgent to least urgent. Sometimes it helps to start with something small (less urgent) so that you build momentum to tackle something bigger. Staying organized relies on habits, such as always putting dishes away after eating and tidying up (e.g., looking through mail) in the afternoon.
