Do you write your to-do list at night for the next day or in the morning?

At night is better because you clear your mind and don’t stress when trying to sleep. That way you have clear what you have to do and don’t over think it.

In the morning, I find what ever happens on the day as unpredictable beforehand and I never know how I'm going to feel. I make a to do list and recently have only been doing one of the tasks on it per day due to lack of motivation.

I write my to do list in the morning because at night I'm tired, want to relax. Looking at what I have to do stresses me out and I won't be able to sleep.

At night I want to relax and spend some "me time" reading or playing a game.

In the mornings I do a to do list after mindfulness meditation. At that point I'm more realistic about how much I can handle and how much can realistically can be tackled that day. Also, after meditation, my mind is more focused and I can prioritize more clearly. A good night's sleep does wonders for clarifying situations.

I prefer writing my list in the evening before I go to bed. It helps me to put down everything that I remember needs doing, without needing to worry about it all night or without needing to try and recall the information in the morning. Getting it all out on the paper before bed allows my mind to relax, with permission to forget the list while I go to sleep ☺️

I have a diary that I keep everything in. And, I use my phone for some things as well. So, I look at both every night to either write down my to-do list or get an idea of what the next day is like. The next morning, if I’ve written it down the night before, I just tweak it if necessary or I write it out. I find I have to at least look at it the night before because it dictates my wake up time and my morning schedule.
