Do you mark or underline sentences in your books?

Daryl E.
Yes, when I find it a beautiful sentence or I have to do something for school, but I try to not do that a lot because it can also ruin your book
Sharon C.
I usually borrow books from the library so I donโ€™t underline or mark them. Even my own books I donโ€™t under line or mark. If I need to take notes I have a separate note book for that.
Michelle O.
Yes! All the time, then pick the same books up in a year or so and flick through the highlights. There are some beautiful pastel colored highlighters and markers available now and I'm not satisfied that I have fully digested a book unless it has been converted into a rainbow ๐Ÿ™‚ haha
Emily O.
Only study books. I like to keep reading books in perfect condition. However underlining quotes does sound like a good idea
Hilary T.
I do not. I make side note in a notebook if something in particular stands out. I remember it better by writing it down rather than underlining. Furthermore, I keep in mind that I may pass the book along to someone else. Who wants a book that's all marked up with someone else's marks?
Luana C.
No ๐Ÿ™‚ I have a notebook to take book notes. When the book is to study for a job or something, I put papers that stick in the book.
