It’s not always easy but thinking of things I am grateful for before I get out of bed helps. I like to drink my coffee outside to be in the sun , feed the birds and play with my dogs. These always seem to help with getting rid of depression some.
I will try to take time to meditate and do some slow breathing. Also stretching and moving helps me, ideally going for a walk.
It sounds kind of corny, but I always have a positive affirmation that comes up on my phone each day and I repeat that. I also like to listen to music while I am doing a.m. chores in the kitchen.
I do usually have to get up at least 30 minutes to an hour early but it gives me time to myself before I have to help my 90 year old mom .
