I love all things tea. So this is a question that I would love to answer. For myself, when I need to focus, I like a good strong black tea. My favorite is Pu’er from China. They take Camilla Sininsis var. Assamica (tea leaves native to the Yunnan Province) and put them through a complex process of long, slow microbial fermentation, press it into little tiny cakes and wrap them with gold foil. There’s a little label on them that shows the region the tea came from and the year it was made, then they are stored to age and mature. It’s like wine in a way. But without any alcohol lol. It’s super yummy. I like to put raw sugar in it. No milk. But if you like milk, that’s fine too. I’ve had it that way. One little cake will make a whole pot. It taste like heaven.

not an expert but green tea seems to work best for energy and alertness. So, I would say try green tea and research it. There’s a wealth of info out there now. Good luck!
