Why is it important to be grateful? And how can I show it?

I think it grounds you in a perspective of abundance, reminding you of all the things you HAVE, of all that IS going well, etc. Itโ€™s easy to be caught up in the swirl of our shoulds, our to do lists, our daily gripes and mistakes and complaints-gratitude practice reminds you of the tiny things that bring you joy, of the small building blocks of your world that you have created for yourself in a GOOD way (not in a toxic positivity way) and helps you recenter. Even though something hard, tough, BAD maybe happening in your life, there are also always things that are good too. A gratitude practice helps you look for, identify and name those things, so that even amidst bad, you can hold onto whatโ€™s also good in your life.
