I would suggest any dan brown novel because it’s easy to relate to many of the settings and subjects he brings. Then, I also like Daniel Silva novels, with the Gabriel Allen character. I believe these ones would match better your profile, although they ar not historical, it brings up a lot the Jews and Palestine issue. Finally I am reading now the second book from ken follet and I am enjoying. This one is historical, a dangerous fortune (I believe that it may be the English title).

My favorite is brave new world! I also loved the series maddadam from Margaret Atwood as well as the handmaid’s tale. Gone girl is also very nice, but it’s more of a thriller/investigation this with a twist in the middle! These are all reeeeeally good!!!
