Quiet, but not too quiet. If it’s too quiet I’ll have the urge to fidget or do other things. Some ambient noise in the background is good. It needs to be bright enough for me to see. If not I’ll turn on my light but I prefer not to use them if I don’t have to.

That’s such a good question. I think it’s hugely dependent on personal choice. But if possible it’s good to be somewhere you can relax and have minimal distractions.
The classic would be reading under a tree on a sunny day.
But maybe just snuggling with a blanket on an armchair with a drink and some snacks would do just as well.
