Ann Rule is one of my favourite true crime authors, she gives lots lf info and keeps it interesting. Neil Gaiman, Ursula LeGuin are excellent for fantasy. The Witcher series of books is great as well

Dark matter. This book is not really all about crime or all about fantasy. But it does make your imagination grow and has some mysteries;)
