Secret Letter : Get the Mindset of a Great Sleeper
Let me tell you a secret, Fabulous Traveler.
Sleeping well and feeling energized is all about your mindset.
There is one secret, quirky cure for a lack of sleep, even on bad days.
A recent study divided 164 people into two groups. Both groups were told how important sleep quality is, and that they would undergo a new test to see how well they had slept the previous night.
The scientists then told one of the groups they had slept very well, while the other group was told they had gotten less sleep than average.
These facts were not at all related to the truth but had been made up to convince the experimental group that they’d had a great night’s sleep.
The group that was told they had slept very well performed much better on cognitive tests than the other group.
What’s the great news here?

For the next three days in a row, as soon as you wake up and get out of bed, say to yourself aloud, “I feel energized today, and today is going to be a great day!”
Say it even if you slept badly, even if you don’t feel good. Just wake up and say it out loud to yourself, while smiling.
Why Smile?
Because smiling causes happiness, even if you’re feeling sad. Science all points toward smiling as a cause of happy feelings. In one study, subjects were asked about their emotional state before and after smiling, and they overwhelmingly scored happier after smiling.
In another study involving a mirror, subjects who watched themselves smile saw an even more pronounced change in mood than those who smiled without the mirror, and those who merely looked at pictures didn't experience any change at all.
