The 22 Day Challenge
Dear Fabulous Traveler ,
You’re now getting ready for the ultimate challenge, but first, let’s do a quick review of what you’ve learned throughout this journey:
You learned to go for a walk whenever you feel uninspired, overworked, or need a boost of creativity.
You discovered that you don’t learn from your mistakes as much as you might imagine; that it’s important to physically take note of them and review possible ways to fix or prevent them.
Charlie Munger taught you to detect and ignore your Cognitive Biases so that you can make more rational decisions and live a better life.
Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Warren Buffett encouraged you to pick up a book whenever you can.
You began striving to mimic Sherlock Holmes and his impressive ability to notice the most mundane minutiae, and learned how you can live more peacefully by staying aware.
Revisiting the genius of Charlie Munger, you learned the best way to analyze situations using Mental Models.
Rediscovering the lost practice of Sitting and Thinking gave you the edge you need to be competitive in whatever venture you set out upon.
Deciding to incorporate endurance training into at least one day a week has improved blood flow in your brain and helped it to grow new neurons, fueling your thoughts.
Having boosted your brain power to previously unforeseen heights, you learned that to harness this new power you must plan out your days meticulously by creating a timeline each and every morning.
Sheryl Sandberg taught you that no matter how efficient and productive you think you are, stress can cripple your abilities to accomplish even the simplest of tasks. Learning to deal with, accept, or surpass life’s stress has become one of your most critical tools.
Finally, you decided to keep your brain busy and ever expanding by nursing a secret project in your free time that will both improve the quality of your life and exercise your mind.
This Week’s Plan
Your goal
You will need to keep these new habits alive if you wish to benefit long term from Mental Fitness. We have picked the 3 habits from this journey that we deem the most important, but feel free to maintain any of the other new habits you’ve learned.
For the next 22 days, you should maintain the Mental Fitness golden triangle- the three main concepts behind keeping your mind sharp
1- Learn and Study: introducing and integrating new material every day
2- Sit and Think: reflecting on the material you know and analyzing it
3- Breathe: Cleansing your mind of the thoughts that prevent you from reaching your potential by de-stressing.
Focus on performing these 3 habits at the same time and in the same way each and every day. You are already familiar with these habits, so this week you should focus on internalizing the daily action of performing them.
Think about the habit of getting dressed each morning. Do you have to remind yourself to do this, or is it automatic? Do you even remember getting dressed this morning? That’s the ultimate goal for these 3 habits: you shouldn’t even have to think about doing them, it should just be natural.
The best way to reach this point is to perform them in the exact same way each and every day.
You may need to adjust your habit schedule to make it work for you.
This is the last step in the Mental Fitness journey, and when you’re ready to tie everything together, simply tap below.
Your one-time action
Take a look around: do you have everything needed for this challenge? Ask yourself these questions:
* Where am I going to practice my Breathe? Is it in my bed in the morning?
* Where will I practice the habit of Sit and Think with just a notebook and no electronic devices?
* Where can I sit down to Learn & Study?
Alright Fabulous Traveler, we’re almost there! Don’t relax just yet as this may be the most crucial part of the whole journey.
You’ll hear from me soon!
