Dear Fabulous Fabulous Traveler,
Do you find yourself wishing for a little more sleep, a little more energy, or just an extra hour in every day to get it all done?
Today, we’re going to begin putting an end to all of the exhaustion that’s hindering you, in just 2 weeks.
The Hidden Path to Increase your Energy
There is, Fabulous Traveler, one simple secret, that most people simply don’t get, that will unlock your potential to enjoy each moment of your life to the fullest:
Get a profoundly sound, soothing night's sleep
Sleep not only refreshes us, but sleeping more than 7-8 hours has been directly linked to help with stress management, weight control, better brains, and superior athletic performance.
For example, researchers at the University of Chicago found that dieters who were well rested lost more fat—56% of their weight loss—than those who were sleep deprived.
Unfortunately, in our modern lives, we take pride in sleeping for only a few hours each night, thinking that the extra awake time will get us closer to our goals.
It’s time to change that thinking. Science shows that we are more productive if we sleep more.
Are you ready to find a way to get more Zzz’s?
For the next week, we’re going to help you build the perfect evening routine: a nightly ritual that will help you get a great, refreshing night's sleep.
Your Actions for Today
Start with your space. Treat your bedroom like your own personal sanctuary.
Don't allow distracting devices like tv, phone, or laptops. This is your space to recharge and refresh.
Your next step is simple Fabulous Traveler: Set a realistic bedtime goal.
Give yourself a 30-minute window each night, and make a ritual out of stopping what you’re doing and intentionally preparing for bed.
It’s okay to leave things undone. You’ll be able to better attack them tomorrow morning, recharged.
Step I: Set up the evening ritual alarm in The Fabulous to remind you of your bedtime goal.
Now, how are you going to signal your body that it’s time to wind down?
Put away your laptop, disconnect from the internet, turn off your router, and don’t watch TV.
This is really important because all of these devices suppress our bodies ability to create melatonin, the hormone that helps us sleep. If you expose yourself to direct light at night, especially blue light from your laptop, you're telling your body that it's still day time.
This will affect your body's biological clock and you'll have trouble getting back to sleep;
By eliminating these nighttime distractions, the quality of your sleep will improve, leaving you more refreshed the next day.

Replace a bad habit with a good one
Now that you're disconnected, replace the habit of watching TV or checking the internet late at night with a relaxing habit.
Choose one habit that will instill a positive, warm feeling; a feeling you will look forward to each night as your personal time.
For my part, I drink a Rooibos tisane just before I go to sleep.
This is the signal that tells my body, "Now is the time to wind down". This is a time for reflection, a time for myself.
Step II : Take 5 minutes to think about one relaxing habit to replace Internet and late night TV Series. Then, add it to your evening ritual.
- Listen to relaxing music (Perhaps set up a Spotify list)
- Practice breath meditation (use our guided app)
- Take a scented bath
- Drink Herbal Tea
- Read a fiction book
That's it Fabulous Traveler.
Keep on doing these habits for the next 4 days.
And, this is only the beginning!
In the next letter, we’ll talk about a simple habit to incorporate into your evening ritual that will make you feel happier the whole day.
Until next time, I wish you a fabulous night and a sound night’s sleep!
P.S.: Do tell me about your successes and failures; I'd love to hear from you.
