Even though I love writing, it\u2019s often this feeling that stops me from doing it and makes starting the task frustrating.<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s helped me is treating the first page as a brain dump, somewhere I don\u2019t have to come back to and read. Just to get words out there on the page.<\/p>\n<p>Then, what really helps the most is asking myself questions and trying to answer them much as if I were having a conversation with a friend. I find writing as if I were speaking really takes the pressure off. It allows me to focus on my ideas rather than grammar.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"thefa-test2 thefa-entity-placement\" id=\"thefa-2680370654\"><div id=\"thefa-2610291890\"><style>.thefa-test2 {margin-bottom: 24px;}<\/style>\r\n<div class=\"banner-content-position light-viol\">\r\n<div class=\"banner-text max400\">Procrastination is not laziness. When it happens, I start by rating my day and then talking about it, and that builds up my flow<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div  class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Cory F.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">Do just what you did. By writing down your question to yourself. Then write down any word that comes to your mind.<br \/>\nThe answer doesn\u2019t have to be in the writing.  Write about the past, the present and\/or the future.   Write \u201c Iam thinking about what to write I\u2019m not sure where this writing session is taking me.   I will start by writing about my favorite subject.   What am I grateful for about this subject?  What would happen if I wrote for a few minutes. And I didn\u2019t try to be perfect, if I didn\u2019t try to have the perfect sentence structure if I just played with writing. If I just got comfortable with holding pen, paper and or your keyboard.   And call that success for the moment and then say you write today\u2019s date, time and weather.  Writing takes practice.  I failed English writing and Instill struggle with  it but here I am brain dumping advise.  Here are my thoughts about writing this.  \u201cIt\u2019s not going to make sense\u201d and \u201cmaybe I\u2019m not even answering the question you asked.
