In the morning, three things I\u2019m grateful for; in the evenings, a short synopsis of the day. I\u2019ve also used and really liked the Stoic app as a standalone. I\u2019ve only managed to sustain a hard copy journal for long once in my life, when we travelled as a family for a year and I felt an obligation toto chronicle our activities and my progress towards habits, which I used a dot journal for. I liked it, but it didn\u2019t jive with my and my husband\u2019s routines, so I\u2019ve found journaling on my phone is more convenient\/flexible. I love the idea and have done it off and on for years. I love having a real journal in my hands, love the feel of pages and ink on paper. Since I find that I don\u2019t actually make the effort sometimes, I thought being able to voice record into a journal would be the answer. I am learning how to do that, but it feels too exposed, too public, to say my feelings out loud. Is it paranoia about someone else hearing my thoughts? Maybe. I just sort of like my thoughts being quiet inside my head and even writing them down or typing them feels safer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div  class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Maurice M.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">I tried to write in my journal every day if I don\u2019t, though then I feel like I\u2019m forgetting something and all my thoughts really build up. The usual things that I had in my journal are just things that I\u2019m worried about excited about and really happy about. For example, I do a lot of running and this last week it was 90\u00b0 and I got a rash on my legs because I wasn\u2019t wearing proper shorts and no they were not Jean shorts thankfully<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div  class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Claire F.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">I write something, anything. Sometimes congratulatory and occasionally frustrated. Sometimes longer but mostly shorter. It is more important that I write something than nothing at all.
