Then try to give yourself a silent and comfortable place, the time to disconnect and the space to enter in the right mindset for the reading. Pick the book you feel most drawn to, a reading that sparks a light of curiosity in you, and take a minute to observe it: look at the cover, its colors, material and how it feels to your touch; look at the title, the side of the book and its back. You can even try to smell the pages, if they aren&#8217;t too old or moldy. Then, open the book and start slow, with the first words of the first page. If your attention feels scattered or you don&#8217;t feel immediately engaged, it&#8217;s normal: I think the human brain takes at least 2 minutes to enter in a state of focus, so if you feel discouraged by your mind, try giving a chance to the next 2-3 pages, driven by the curiosity of how the plot unfolds.
