What is more real than the present moment?  Than your breath?  Everything else only exists in a memory or a worry.  It\u2019s in your head, not in the world. Every night after work, I mediate like 15 mins. In work or in life we have been through a lot. Meditation helps me to fresh my mind and manage my stress. During meditation, you can control your breath and listen to it. Also, calm music makes you feel relaxed. When I meditate I focus on the things happening in my mind and I teach myself how to be patient. I imagine a tiny person inside who lives with two chaotic roommates. That tiny person sorts through all of the good, bad, and chaotic information and enjoys doing so. They take their time sorting through a seemingly endless pile of life and patiently puts them in their own drawers.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose technically that is escaping reality because in reality I am paranoid, jumpy, angry, impatient. I have a hard time getting through the day. When I meditate, I&#8217;m even able to stop myself from jumping at every itch and sound around me.
