However if you just started exercising and you start worrying about what you\u2019re eating, you\u2019re just gonna get stressed out and stop. I suggest keep exercising. Slowly start changing ur eating habits. Take out the chips then the soda. Maybe add something healthy. And like this over time you\u2019re nutrition will also change without u taking a lot of stress because of it. Or at least this is the way I did it. You can try to disconnect your relationship in your head between food and exercise,  but I usually find that adding something positive is easier than undoing something negative. Find a more powerful (to you!) reason to exercise, such as heart health, more energy, accomplishment, whatever works for you! Repeat this reason out loud to yourself both before your exercise, and during your finishing celebration. You shouldn&#8217;t try to exercise because you want to make yourself look better, as that is an argument from vanity. Instead, one should attempt to exercise to help improve the body and mind in their own right. I know it helps to nudge you along if you remind yourself of goals such as burning off what you ate the day before, but once you have started a habit of exercising daily, you should try to start shifting the goals toward a more self-nurturing place. More than that you should even try to ask her politely if she wants  to do some exercise with you.
