Everyone is different and has their own reasons for practicing meditation. I myself practice meditation to reduce stress and to be more calm. I say before meditating set an intention. In your case you want to boost creativity, so before you get into the meditation set the intention that you want to be more creative and let your mind free to roam with ideas during meditation.
