Instead of scrolling through social media for an hour before bed, I&#39;ll spend 30 mins reading, 10 mins of gratitude (I write down things that I am grateful for) and then I will start a meditation which eventually leads me to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>In short, to unplug means different things for everyone but ultimately I see it as taking some time to myself.<\/p>\n<p>But please note that &quot;unplugging&quot; doesn&#39;t mean completing staying off screens. Electronics are not all bad. They may help you wind down and so that&#39;ll help improve your sleep quality. Unplug yourself from the digital world and live in reality for awhile. It&#39;s something we forget to do quite often.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Clio N.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">Unplugging is removing yourself from electronic devices; your phone, your TV, your computer. The idea is devices like these are bright (literally the light is distracting, especially at night); they&#39;re addicting and you can sink a lot more time into them than you intend; and they can keep you from doing things that are usually more enriching in your life, like meditation, getting ready for bed, or reading a book.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Clio N.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">To unplug is to just basically relax. Let go of the negative energy that was created in your day.
