One of them is that I woke up! I sit or lay down at the end of the day and think about the people who are always there and always look out for me and i appreciate them. Sometimes it\u2019s the little things people do that make me grateful to have them in my life but that\u2019s ok and sometimes you might not be grateful for someone being in your life and that\u2019s ok as well. You just really have to think and appreciate who you loved and cared about that day and that will tell you who you\u2019re grateful for. I am thankful for the ability to have an education. I am thankful that I have a house to keep my warm and protects me. I am thankful for my awesome friends and family. I am thankful for food (especially that I enjoy), I am thankful for water, etc.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">\u0415\u043a\u0430\u0442\u0435\u0440\u0438\u043d\u0430 \u0410\u043d\u0434\u0440\u0435\u0435\u0432\u0430 N.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">Oh I\u2019m not, actually.<\/p>\n<p>Recently a started to feel this anger in me, negativity that is sometimes coming out and unfortunately sometimes I can say something bad, something hurtful and after saying that I will regret it.<br \/>\nI will think \u201cWhy would I say that?\u201d or \u201cI didn\u2019t really need to say that, but I still did, like why and what\u2019s the point?\u201d<br \/>\nI\u2019ll feel bad.<\/p>\n<p>But those feelings, this regret, it\u2019s reminding me that there\u2019s a lot of things I should be greatful for and people that should appreciate.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d like to work on this anger and improve it into my thoughtfulness<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Elizabeth S.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">I am not constantly grateful \ud83d\ude42 I have to consistently remind myself of how much I have to be grateful for. I remind myself of things I\u2019m genuinely grateful for, even little things that make me temporarily happy like waffles. And I thank myself for indulging. I thank my family for giving them to me. I thank strangers for the small things they do like hold the door. I make it happen every day just when i open my eyes and the last thing I do just before I close my eyes. I am very grateful to for all the bad things that happened to me because I understand there\u2019s a purpose for making me better behind all of it. I realized that there is so little I&#39;d have. Just look at the news. Visit a hospital. I try to cherish each moment and even the &#39;little&#39; things I have. It has ups and downs. Sometimes the things you are grateful for are very obvious and come naturally to you.  Other times you have to look for them like you look for clues in a detective. It is not about the large minesweeping things. Gratefulness is in even the smallest everyday. When everything seems to be going wrong it\u2019s so much easier to spiral into negative thinking than it is to pick your self up. What really helps me is whenever I\u2019m feeling blissfully happy or so thankful for everything I have I write it down in a notebook. I go back to it then and read it and if I\u2019m able to at all I drag myself out for a walk at sunset with my favourite music and just take a deep breath and let it all out. From then it\u2019s so easy to appreciate what you have and understating that it\u2019s not the end of the world. Often after that deep breath you begin to realise like what was I actually worried about it\u2019s such a silly thing. When I started to be a better version of myself, I never imagined that I could do good habits, but now that it has become my daily routine, I started with a glass of water in the morning and made a checklist and I added a habit to it every week. If you do not do a few habits in the middle of this process, it is not a problem, but I believe that if you want, you will be even better than me. I didn\u2019t have any expectations when I started, aside from wanting to write in it daily. That first entry filled the page with five bullet points of things for which I was grateful. Since then, I\u2019ve written a page a day, with 5 bullet points. The journal is not big- it measures 5\u201dx7\u201d. It has become a self-care ritual at this point. It gives me time to reflect on my day and look inward. Although there has been substantial struggle and instability in my life over the last decade, there is also a lot of beauty and joy, especially when I look for it. No matter how good my day has been, every evening before bed I prompt myself to be grateful for at least three things I had for the day. I usually take the freedom to write more than three and I encourage you to do so as well. Yes there may have been bad things but I tell myself to learn from those mistakes and keep trying.
