There\u2019s a lot of ways to craft a tasty, and filling breakfast smoothie. I always try to keep in mind that sweetness is not the goal, it\u2019s just a benefit. Start with a base milk, I use oat or soy usually. You want enough milk so that it\u2019s easy to drink, not super thick. Then some greens! I use spinach (avocado or kale works too) because it\u2019s easy to keep a big frozen bag on hand that\u2019s already chopped and ready to go, throw in about a cup for a big smoothies and half a cup for a smaller one. Then your fruits! This can be any combination that you like, just make sure it\u2019s more fruit than greens. So at least a cup for a big smoothie. I use apples, bananas (frozen is a nice touch), strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, mangos, anything. A lot of this you can buy frozen and pre-cut, but buying fresh reduces plastic waste sometimes . Top it off with Chia seeds for protein, and for more protein find a protein powder you like and add a scoop. I like vegan vanilla powder!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Earl P.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">You could try overnight oats. There are lots of variations, but basically you put oatmeal in a container and stir in milk and any flavors you like. You can keep it simple with some brown sugar and fruit. Then just leave it in the fridge overnight.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"single-answer\">\n<div class=\"who-answered\">Luciano A.<\/div>\n<div class=\"detailed-answer\">Overnight Oats are super easy, add equal parts oats and milk (any kind) to a cup and refrigerate overnight. Top with something like berries and nuts. Add a drizzle of honey to sweeten if needed.<\/p>\n<p>If you prefer a light breakfast or need small side item to go with your breakfast take a berrie nut mixture and put it ontop of either unsweetened yogurt (I prefer greek) or a bed of fresh spinach.<\/p>\n<p>For a more substantial breakfast eat that on the side with chicken (pulled off a rotisserie chicken) dipped in your favorite jam (I recommend apricot jam).<\/p>\n<p>For a meal on the go I turn to a peanut butter and honey sandwich on raisin bread (my guilty breakfast pleasure). It&#39;s even better if you can slice or mash up a banana to go on it!<\/p>\n<p>On the note of bananas. Frozen bananas are amazing (they taste like a cream popsicle). You can dip them in peanut butter, hazelnut spread,or chocolate spread (if you need treat yourself!).<\/p>\n<p>If the microwave is an option scrambled eggs are easy and surprisingly good. Microwave 30sec, stir and then microwave till done (about another 10sec). I usually put a scoop or two of yogurt and some frozen blueberries.
