For savory mornings, I cook steel cut oats in chicken broth with salt, pepper, and a no-salt seasoning blend (great in the slow cooker or instapot the day or multiple days before&#8230;even overnight!). Then for spicy, I\u2019ll top with smoked chipotle, smoked paprika, poached eggs, spicy guacamole, and spicy salsa (the closer to pico de Gallo, the better). Or, I\u2019ll make a spicy version of shakshuka and put that on top. Smoked paprika and smoked chipotle are mainstays in my kitchen. Adding ginger can provide a transition flavor that helps your spicier elements combine with the rest of the flavors in the dish.
