As I got into recovery I gave myself permission to eat whatever I felt like. At that point the fact that I ate was more important than what I ate. These days my eating is much less disordered but I have to make a conscious effort to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. My suggestion would be to see your body as an amazing machine that needs good fuel to run properly so you can do the thing a you want to do.
