It also means that I’m already in the middle of my day and my meal needs to be super simple. With that in mind, so far what is working best is peanut butter toast with a little honey or some Greek yogurt with coconut granola and a little brown sugar. The sweetness keeps the meal appetizing which also helps when I’m not feeling super hungry. I know you’re thinking 1130 but that’s lunch! So usually within that I'll make scrambled eggs or an omelette and those can contain many other ingredients. Bell peppers, onions, ham, sausage, and others are able to be added. I also usually try toast (whole wheat is what I've always grown up with!) And that too can be used for a variety of toppings. I usually like to do preserved fruit. It's a healthier option then jam or jellies because it contains just the fruit and a perservitive or two instead of mountains of sugar that'll have you crash. Finally, I try to add in a fruit or vegetable. After my family and I picked 16 lbs of strawberries, we have been trying to eat them up! A little cup allows a bit of a natural sweetness into the meal and makes it so much more colorful. Lastly, I drink a 12 oz glass of milk.
