Therefore, unless there is a health reason to avoid carbohydrates, don&#39;t completely avoid them.  Instead, focus on eating a balance of clean carbohydrates&#8211;mostly fruits and vegetables&#8211;and only as much protein as you actually need to maintain your body in a healthy state.<\/p>\n<p>Once your body gets to burning fat, you will require less carbohydrates, but it will take time to get there.  And when you are, focus on healthy fats like olive and avocado.
